Sachsenhausen Tour
Markus Herborn (39) was born in Frankfurt and takes “much pleasure with Sachsenhausen and apple wine“. In his hometown, where he was studying architecture, he is also the tour guide in their biggest apple wine press house and explaining the making of the “Stöffche“.
Follow him to a special journey through “Dribbdebach“ (colloquial for Sachsenhausen), Frankfurts biggest and most popular quarter. Via selected stations your way is leading through the history and cultural characteristics of Sachsenhausen.
So you´ll find out much worth knowing not only about the extraordinary architecture and habitants of the quarter but also of Sachsenhausen´s landmark, the “Bembel“, and its manufacture.
In the traditional apple wine restaurant “Zum Gemalten Haus“ (“The Painted House“) your tour finishs with music and classical food from Frankfurt.
The price obtains the transport, one drink (apple wine or apple juice), a meal on request in “Zum Gemalten Haus“ and also 1 original 0,3 liter “Geripptes“ (apple wine glass) as a souvenir. The tour is bookable in “Frankforderisch“, German or English.
